General Tips
Before working on any appliance, Turn off the breaker or unplug the appliance to prevent electrical shock.
Dishwasher
When loading the dishwasher, try not to place dishes over the pop up spray arm, on the lower rack. This restricts the flow of water and can cause the dishes not to come clean.
To reduce spotting and have the dishes come out sparkling clean. Use the Jet Dry product, whether you have a dispenser or the one that just hangs from the upper rack.

Running your dishwasher at least once every two weeks helps keep the seals wet. This prevents them from drying out and causing leaks.

Disposer
This cleans the blades and helps with odors. Put a little cleanser and a bunch of ice down in the disposer, turn the water on to a small trickle, and then turn on the disposer till the ice is gone. Run water thru the disposer to make sure its clean.
Dryer
Clean the lint filter after every load, if it gets full it will increase the time it takes to dry clothes.
Cleaning out your vent hose on occasion will help the flow of air and dry time.

Microwave

Simply placing a paper towel over food in the microwave will keep your microwave a little cleaner.
Oven/Range/Cooktop
You can place your drip pans in the dishwasher to clean them.
Lining your drip pans with foil can damage or short out the element.
Always use a pan the same size as the element/burner. If you put a small pan on the large element/burner it doesn't cook as evenly and it is possible you will burn yourself.
Refrigerator/Freezer
Leaving a box of baking soda in the refrigerator or freezer helps reduce odors.
Cleaning the condenser coils of your refrigerator makes your refrigerator run more efficient.
Trash Compactor
Always place your trash in the compactor in such a way to prevent food from getting on the ram. This can significantly reduce odor problems.
Placing one of the stick up deodorizers, on the inside of the door helps reduce odors.
